Purpose of Position: Responsible for coordinating and maintaining the necessary material for operations, which may involve assembly, packaging and other related production operations. Incumbent will be required to perform direct labor operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and organized area and ensuring that defined 5S standards are maintained.

  • Responsible for receiving product when delivered and ensuring that the product is received in QAD.

  • Ensure the Kanban cards for each cell are scanned in a timely manner and the process is maintained.

  • Reports issues with the receipt of product in a timely manner and in accordance with the standard work.

  • Load freight carriers as needed.

  • Stock the received material as needed.

  • Liaison between Machine Shop and Assembly for required material.

  • Receive in RGAs and place in the appropriate department.

  • Notify the Quality department when product arrives that needs to be verified.

  • Responsible for stocking the lines in a timely manner so the lines do not run out of product.

  • Provides early notification to support areas for parts as needed.

  • Anticipates production problems such as unavoidable delays, material shortages, defective parts, etc., and informs area supervisor or other involved personnel, and/or solves problems as required.

  • Requires lifting and transporting of component parts and finished units as necessary. Physical requirements for lifting medium and heavy weights, not to exceed 40 pounds, as required.

  • Recommends, assists in planning and participates in or leads Kaizen events in the assigned area of responsibility.

  • May be required to perform additional miscellaneous duties as directed by area supervisor within the scope of the job.

  • Incumbent's Operator Qualification in their assigned area of responsibility.

  • Zero recordable incidents with department operators on shift.

  • 98% OTD within department

  • Self-sufficiency of newly trained operators within 21 days.


  • Compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures.

  • Active participation in Continuous Improvement initiatives in assigned area.

  • Active participation in driving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity Improvements in assigned area.

Equipment Used

  • Fork lift, barrel dolly, scale, flow bench and stamp machines.

  • Laptop, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint and QAD.


Ideal candidates will have 6 months of directly related experience and QAD experience.

Background and Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Qualification with required lift equipment.

  • Ability to stand 8-12 hours per day.

  • Ability to lift medium to heavy weights (not to exceed 40 pounds).

  • Ability to flex schedule as required to support production needs.
