Robert Half is working with a Fast-growing company in the Cincinnati Area to fill a role as a Manager of Software Development. As the Manager of Software Development, you will report to the CTO and be responsible for direct management and leadership of the software engineering team in the development of project applications and software products. You will work with management and project team members to define and develop software applications. You will lead the development of new products and the continued improvement and release cycle for exiting platforms. Job Responsibilities: Your duties as the Manager of Software Development will include:
Leading the software design and development processes
Creating software best practices and supporting software system design reviews
Managing resources for project and development assignments
Conducting performance evaluations and participating in the recruitment process for software team members
Management of department budget
Technical sales support
Collaborating with upper management and other department managers to ensure effective product development
Identifying and establishing development processes and standards to enhance the productivity and performance of the software engineering team
Working with both client and internal project teams to define applications and produce functional specification documents
Generating product specific documentation using standard company formats
Working closely with the engineering section managers, project managers, integration partners to staff projects and programs
Managing new product releases and upgrades
Demonstrating ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values

BS or MS CS/EE/CE degree or equivalent
Minimum 8 years' experience
Experience with Warehouse Management Software applications
Experience with Integrated Material Handling Systems
Experience with Automated Equipment Control Systems
Familiarity with SQL, Python, MySQL, Linux Non-technical:
