  • Responsible for day to day fleet management in the War Room. Monitor alarms in Fleet Viewer, update status, log comments and resolutions. Troubleshoot alarms to determine if action is needed. Communicate with dealers/branches, engineering, and customers to resolve alarms via e-mail, phone call or dealer/branch involvement. Dispatch technicians to address alarms and repair equipment as required. Ensure that customer policies and procedures are met for any services rendered

  • Assist Analyst and management in the development of reporting regarding truck event codes and InfoLink data, introducing “best practices”, when to fix and how. Provide reports to Insite Support Managers, Tech Advisors, District Technology Support Managers and Engineering upon request. Provide feedback to Service Product managers to improve equipment and service. Communicate with Analyst on a consistent basis to improve Fleet Viewer, build new alarms, and identify trends to improve vehicle health.

  • Visit Dealers/Branches and/or End Users in the development and support of Fleet Viewer.

  • Participate in the research, development, testing and implementation of new Fleet Viewer features. Work with Crown Insite Analyst to formulate priorities, action steps, timelines, and overall project management

  • Perform other tasks involved in supporting the Insite Service Department which include testing, additional reporting, field campaigns, and dealer/branch communication.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

5-7 years' related experience

Associate degree

Must have valid driving privileges

Frequent travel (6-20%)

Frequent overnight stays (6-20%)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires Lead Technician or Field Service Manager experience with a working knowledge of data collection and reporting involving Microsoft Excel. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be well organized. Some travel is required to fulfill the requirements of this position. Entry level IT and wireless network skills with the desire to learn new technologies are required. Any experience with Microsoft SQL, Java, XML, and any other programming skills is a plus, but not required.
